DERMAL FILLERS

Dermal fillers
in Waltham Cross

Contact HW Aesthetics Ltd for dermal fillers. I am based in North London.
Some facial lines and folds occur due to a reduction of Hyaluronic acid and collagen in our tissues as we age. This can cause sagging and loss of volume which results in natural folds in the skin to become more pronounced, such as nasolabial folds and marionette lines.

We also lose fat pads that keep our face looking smooth and plump leading to hollowed areas such as the tear trough area and give a jowly look.

External factors such as smoking, alcohol and sun exposure all exacerbate the signs of ageing.

How do dermal fillers work

Target those wrinkles
Dermal fillers are a gel like substance, that when injected into the dermal layer of the skin, plump up tissues and ‘fill’ the area. They can be used to soften and contour lines and folds. They can also be used to restore lost volume and elasticity to some areas. Dermal fillers can be used alone or in conjunction with facial line softening to maximise results.

There are different types of dermal filler, depending on the area to be treated and the severity of the lines/folds. At HW Aesthetics, all dermal fillers are temporary treatments, lasting approx. 6-12 months and all use a substance called Hyaluronic Acid.

HA comes in prefilled syringes of 0.5 -2mls depending on the type. The procedure takes approx. 20-60 mins depending on site/severity of lines. A numbing cream is applied to the area which takes approx. 30 mins to work. The filler is administered through either a small hypodermic needle or a cannula (where suitable). There can be more than one injection to each area being treated, although the use of a cannula often reduces the amount of injection sites.

Every person’s face is different and as such it would be impossible to explain all procedures here on the website, however the in depth consultation will clarify all details of procedures relevant to the client.

Revitalise your skin

Is it safe?

Hyaluronic acid is naturally occurring in the body and as such is quite safe to use. I only source the highest quality products from the most reputed pharmacies. All products are CE approved and can be traced to manufacturer.

The injection technique used reduces the risk of inadvertent injection in or around blood vessels.

Expected results

Target those wrinkles
Afterwards, some tiny red dots from where the micro needle/cannula was inserted may be visible for a short while.
There can be some initial redness and stinging although overall the procedure should be painless. The fillers used also have local anaesthesia mixed with them to aid pain relief.

Results are immediate although if there is a slight swelling at the injection site, the final results will be visible in a day or so.

As the results are immediate, no follow up appointment is required. Dermal fillers are sold by volume so if a 2nd appointment was requested for further treatment, this would be seen as a new consultation.
